I can hardly believe that it is here!

We are loading the truck with all of the gathered treasures that have crowded the house for the past 5 months!

I had one project to finished before we started the packing process and that was this pine dresser!

I found her at an auction and I thought the pine would look great stripped down.

I forgot to take a picture before I started sanding the original finish off.

I thought about sanding down the original knobs as well but decided to change them out instead.

After sanding it down, the pine was still a little yellow for my taste so I lightened it with a Valspar Limewash glaze.

Stripping it down was my big plan for it but, I don’t know… It was just looking so plain and… Meh.

It needed a little extra something but I didn’t want to paint it.

I was already taking a white piece and a black piece….

Ya know what I haven’t done in a few months?? My faux bone inlay technique!

In the final hour I did the hand-painted detailing on all the drawer fronts with some leftover milk paint that I had from the white milk paint chest of drawers I had already completed.

After it dried I lightly distressed the work so it wouldn’t look so new.

I added glass knobs to complete the look. 2 little knobs for the smallest drawer.

Because I completed the piece amidst the chaos, I had to snap the final photos while it was being loading.

We are on the road to the Clarke County Fair Grounds in Berryville, Virginia today to getting our space all set up!

I have the setup in my head but you just never know how it will all come together until it is all laid out.

1 day till Lucketts!

I will be located in the Show Barn!
