The last we talked I left you in the middle of a re-upholstery project that I dubbed The Contrasting Settee. I had just finished securing all of the fabric for the front every late on Day 2.
(If you missed pt. 1 of this post you can read that HERE)
Day 3 and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I haven’t worked with velvet before so I was unsure as of how it would work with staples and pulling.
It went on like a dream and the black looks so Lux & rich. Exactly the effect that I was going for. I was able to staple on the double-welting with the staple gun as well. which will add some extra security.
OOOh man. This piece didn’t really need much of a makeover. Just a wardrobe change was all it needed.
I filmed the whole process as well and put it up on my YouTube channel (Amanda Freed Homes). If you would like to see it from to start finish just click HERE.
Kyle may or may not have a short cameo.
I paired it was some eclectic pillows that I had sewn out of a vintage carpet hand bag and a torn coverlet. I could see this in anyone’s house with a fiddle leaf tree towering behind it.
I think this one piece is going to end up dictating the look of my booth at this year’s Lucketts Spring Market.
It won’t be long before I need to start preparing for that!
Looks beautiful Amanda!!!
Thank you so much Anna! I love how it turned out! Might build a whole line around it 🤔
What price are you putting on it. It is gorgeous?
I’m not sure yet. Leaning towards $300
