Hi! I’m back!
Sorry I just need to catch up on some much needed sleep and tend to some family stuff & the real estate side of things.
There is still a few things to tie up before I can call Lucketts 2019 a wrap and letting y’all know how all 3 days went is one of them.
I was located in the Show Barn with 5 other FABULOUS vendors.
& Through The Garden Gate Antiques
DAY 1
WOW. Ya’ll were not playin’ around!
We were mobbed with shoppers almost immediately and It did NOT stop.
I absolutely loved it.
It could be my imagination making this up but I remember people in the middle of my booth taking pictures of the bee box display wall for inspiration.
Imagination or not it was an awesome feeling.
We sold out of all the bee boxes, included what we used as the wall display, and almost all of rug pillows.
The Step-back hutch sold along with the black & white striped twins, the mudcloth pair & the rug-backed chair.
You might not know this but I also took the Contrasting Settee that I had finished a few months prior.
I said that if it didn’t sell at The Factory Antique Mall that I would take it to the Spring Market. It also sold on day 1 at Lucketts.
DAY 2
We sold so much on day 1 that we had to do a complete reset of the booth to make it look somewhat shop-able for day 2.
I don’t hold stuff back to restock my booth with. I put it all out there on day 1. So once it is gone it is GONE.
The Milk Paint Chest of Drawers sold this day along with the rest of the ironstone pitchers.
DAY 3
By the 3rd day, for furniture, I only had the Stately Corner Cabinet, the Little Pine Piece painted in black MMS milk paint, and this industrial workshop table that I didn’t really talk about leading up to the market.
The biggest rug sold to Lauren & David Liess, Stars of Best House on the Block by HGTV.
I didn’t even realize it was them until they walked away…. Oops.
The industrial workshop table ended up selling near the end of the day.
The last rug pillow also sold on the last day.
And Gaytha’s collection was super popular for the entirety of the show.
Day 3 Break Down
I was pretty exhausted and the show barn’s dust was slowly killing me BUT I knew the break down would be quick because of how little we needed to take down and back home.
I unfortunately wasn’t able to do much shopping this time around except for right at the end of day 3 but I picked up a few rugs that I will be showing off here soon.
My family showed up to help me get everything loaded back onto the truck and we stop at Olive Garden on the way home for our annual celebratory dinner.
I dont live far from the fair grounds, just over 2 hours south. I was able to get home later that evening, shower and pass out.
My heart was filled by all the compliments and meeting everyone that has followed the story up to this big event!
Thank you so much to my family and friends that helped me get ready and during the show. Sam was the most amazing salesperson I could have ever asked for. And a big thank you to the Lucketts staff & Casey for really crushing it this year and putting on another successful event.
And that, ladies & gents, is the 2019 Lucketts Spring Market. I hope that you found your happy place when you visited! I’m already starting to have ideas for next year!
If you weren’t able to join us for Lucketts 2019, make sure to mark the 3rd weekend of May for Lucketts 2020!
If you didn’t see the link at the top of this blog post for the vlog version you can check that out HERE !
Below are some extra pictures I snapped around the fairgrounds over the course of the 3 day event.
Hi Amanda, I just found your blog via Hometalk. I had to google your blog, since the only link you left is for Instagram. Believe it or not, there are still some of us out here who don’t do Instagram, so you might want to leave your blog link, as well. I’ve never been to Luckett’s–I’m on the West Coast–but it’s on my bucket list. Thanks for taking us with you. I’m glad you did well.
Hi Marilyn! Thank you so much! So glad you hunted me down! Thank you for letting me know. I fixed it on the HomeTalk site. There are some awesome markets on the West Coast too that are on my own bucket list!
