This is a special year for The Ugly Duckling Decor at Lucketts because I will be bringing 2 other creators’ designs with me to share with y’all!
First up is Gaytha Lindensmith.
She began making doll clothes, then her own clothes as a young girl. She was inspired by her Grandmothers, and a generous neighbor that would share her fabrics scraps from a barrel kept under her kitchen sink.
Working as a seamstress and at fabric stores as a young woman, was her education and now creating fashions from salvaged, gently used fabric, linens, and clothing. She loves the hunt for material and making One of a Kind garments that are fun, somewhat quirky, and so easy to wear.
Online and in her booth she offers homemade, recreated and vintage items. Items are made by her using reclaimed, recycled and new fabric and clothing. It is creative clothing and vintage decor for a quiet, comfortable and romantic country style.
Quilt tops and quilts, sewing supplies, and vintage linens are a few of her specialties.
I will be bring a variety of her upcycled designs, antique nightgowns & petticoats to the spring market – more then what my sister has modeled below.
She has also included upcycled bedding & antique linens for me to bring as well – like these antique ticking pillow cases!
Next up is Jessica Gery!
She has dived head-first into needlepoint & crocheting and I will bringing some of her latest designs with me as well, including….
These flower embroidered bandannas!
This hand-crocheted throw that was inspired by African mudcloth!
And this adorable little crossed stitched representation of Virginia!
I can’t believe we are only 4 DAYS AWAY from the Lucketts Spring Market!
Months and months and months of hardwork will all be rewarded in less than a week! And, I am especially excited to say hi to old friends and greet new ones as well!
