A 2021 goal of mine is to create room designs to use as future inspiration. As I was putting this one together I thought I should share them on here for others to use as well.
I enjoy a wide variety of styles so hopefully there will be a room design for everyone along the way. I made sure to included product links as well!
This week I’m working on a interesting living room space incorporating eclectic & modern finishes.
Starting with a color palette of black, olive green, cream, salmon, white & gold. Sorry I don’t have specific color names for you this time. I’ll try to get better at including them in the future.

And a mix of 5 different textures.

I kept the more expensive items like the Rug and sofa neutral so it can be used with many room styles.
Laine Ivory Rug | Currently out of stock but will back soon.
I wanted a sofa with clean lines to offset the more creative design elements.
Carson Carrington Hedeby Sofa in Beige | $389.29

Metal touches can be very versatile in design. This brass Lamp adds an antique touch…
Adjustable Antique Brass Pharmacy Metal Floor Lamp | $152
And this Curtain Rod from Target is a more modern finish.
Brass Dauntless Curtain Rod | $27.99 – $40
Curtains are a great way to bring color & warmth to a room and they are easy to replace for a new look.
Olive Worn Velvet Curtain Panels | $109 – $298
If the room you’re working with doesn’t have wood floors, the natural texture can be brought in through this Mirror…
French Country Wall Mirror | $70
And this little Side Table.
Cottage Tree Stump End Table in Beige | $129.99
I love Coral as natural art.
White Coral Statue | $99
And for some affordable wall Art I found a print of minimalist abstract design. Just need to put it in a frame!
Black Brush Strokes | $37.49
Once again bringing the natural elements in through this faux Olive Tree sourced from World Market…
Faux Potted Olive Tree | $79.99
And it can be placed in this Planter from Lowe’s for a cleaner look.
KANTE White Concrete Planter | $90.29
To bring the whole room together I included these three pillows for added texture & contrast.
20″ Tillie Wool Pillow | $59.95
Velvet Throw Pillow in Neutral | $20
Velvet Embroidered Throw Pillow | $20
All of these elements come together to create a space similar to this!

Obviously not every living room is going to have a stately, black marble fireplace but I think a similar concept can be created through a black accent wall with or without a molding design like a grid panelling or wainscoting.

I need your thoughts! Is there anything that you might change or add?
Please let me know!
